Privacy Policy

How AlwaysMentioned collects, uses, and protects information — for this website, our free audit, our subscriptions, and our WordPress plugin.

1. Who we are

AlwaysMentioned (ABN 99 943 891 164) is an Australian sole trader business. This policy explains how we handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). You can contact us any time at hello@alwaysmentioned.com.au.

2. What this policy covers

3. The free plugin runs on your own site

The plugin's llms.txt generator builds the file from your own published content, on your own server. It makes no external connections and sends no data to us or anyone else. Using the generator on its own involves no collection of your data by us.

4. Information we collect

(a) Free audit, See & Track, and We Handle It (this website)

When you request a free audit or sign up for a subscription, we collect the details you submit — your name, business name, email address, website URL, business category, and location — to run your audit or scans, prepare your reports, and correspond with you about your AI visibility.

(b) Business information gathered during scans

To run a scan, we gather publicly available information about your business and your market — for example, how AI assistants answer buyer-intent questions in your category and location, and what your competitors' public listings, profiles, and websites say. This is information about businesses, not individuals, and is drawn from what's already publicly visible.

(c) Optional AI-visibility snapshot (plugin)

Only after you tick the consent box, the plugin sends your site URL and the list of page URLs in your llms.txt to our service. We use these to run buyer-intent questions against AI assistants and check whether your site is cited, then return a score. We do not collect your customers' personal data from your site.

(d) Monitoring subscription (plugin, paid)

If you subscribe to the plugin's paid monitoring tier, the plugin sends your site URL and site name so we can create and manage your subscription and re-run the visibility check on a schedule. Payment is handled by Stripe (see section 8).

(e) Billing details

For paid subscriptions (See & Track, We Handle It, and plugin monitoring), Stripe collects and processes your payment details on our behalf. We never receive or store your card details ourselves.

(f) When you email us

We receive your email address and the contents of your message, including any correspondence as part of delivering We Handle It (for example, sign-off on copy or directory listings).

(g) When you visit this website

We use our own first-party analytics to count page views, referrers, and link clicks so we can improve the site. We do not use third-party advertising cookies and we do not sell data.

5. How we use information

Scan data we gather about businesses (yours and, where relevant to your report, your competitors') is public information about those businesses — drawn from what's already visible to AI assistants and the public — and is used only to prepare your reports.

6. Who we share information with

We use trusted service providers that process data only to provide their service to us:

We do not sell your personal information.

7. Website analytics and email correspondence

We use first-party website analytics as described in section 4(g), and we retain email correspondence with you (for example, audit re
